When and how did you get started at CFN?

In February 2017, I approached David and Jason with an idea to start a Sports Performance class for kids. I tried a couple of CFN classes here and there as a drop-in. I enjoyed the programming and the people, so I started to attend more frequently. Thanks to Donnie for introducing me to this great fitness community.

Name one thing in your life you are currently thankful for:

I am very grateful for my awesome family, Dayne and Keston, especially my very supportive wife, Krista. I am grateful for my health and the ability to be able move and help others.

Who inspires you and how?

My wife, Krista inspires me to be the best I can be every day. I draw the most inspiration from people who don’t let their physical limitations and insecurities stop them from thriving and living life to the fullest.

What’s the last book you’ve read or movie you’ve seen? Would you recommend it?

I am so bad at finishing books. I am great at starting them, and usually have several that I try to read at the same time. An American Insurrection: James Meredith and the Battle for Oxford, Mississippi. I am a huge a movie buff and have a ridiculous amount of useless goofy comedy movie quotes in my head.

What’s your favorite food?

Mexican and smoothies.

Would you rather spend a weekend in the mountains or at the beach?

I would much rather be in the mountains hiking. Most people go to Las Vegas for “Sin City”. I would rather go to Red Rock Canyon and climb rocks in nature.

What’s your favorite type of CrossFit workout?

I really like the partner WODs on Saturdays especially chippers. I like workouts with rowing, burpees and cleans. “Rowing Annie” would be awesome, substituting meter row for double under’s.
