When and how did you get started at CFN?
I joined CFN back in spring of 2016. I was dead set on going to North Kansas City(NKC) Crossfit but last minute decided to drop into Crossfit Northland. And I am Glad I made that decision. I’ve met some great people here and made some wonderful friends!
Name one thing in your life you are currently thankful for:
I am thankful for my wife! She supports me through all my hobbys/goals that are constantly changing. She is also the only woman on this planet that can handle my personality. God bless her for that!
Who inspires you and how?
My parents have and will always inspire me. Both of them are selfless people. Growing up playing multiple sports throughout the year they were always there to watch me play rain or shine. Even when I moved away to continue my baseball dreams in Oregon and in Kansas they would travel as much as they could to watch me play. They have always inspired me to be more selfless.
What’s your favorite food?
My favorite food is a combo plate with Teriyaki Chicken and Chicken Katsu it typically comes with a side salad and white rice. But there is only one type of restaurant that can make it the way I like it and they can only be found (that I know of) in the Pacific Northwest.
Would you rather spend a weekend in the mountains or at the beach?
I would rather spend one weekend at the mountains and then the following weekend at the beach. But in all seriousness it wouldn’t matter too me.I love characteristics of both. If I had a Fortress of Solitude it would be on a warm tropical beach at the base of a snowy mountain!
What’s your favorite type of CrossFit workout?
My favorite type of workout would be a Chipper. Finish a movement, forget about it, and then move on to the next one. Throw in a heavy barbell then that’s my JAM!
