- How long have you been a member of CrossFit Northland? What brought you into our gym?
- I have been a member for a little under a year!
- Once I had moved to KC from NC, I was in search of a community who enjoyed weightlifting and surrounding themselves with those who had the same goals of a healthier lifestyle. I loved seeing the success stories and how incredible this community might be! So of course, I had to sign up and see what it was all about!
- Tell us a little about your fitness background?
- I come from a background of fitness starting way back in the YMCA. I’ve always loved the competitive nature of sports and the ability to work towards a goal together with a team. I played multiple sports growing up like basketball, volleyball, softball, and even a brief moment of gymnastics. Throughout my life I had a goal of going to college for sports, and I had the fortunate opportunity to do so, playing volleyball at Harding University.
- Up to that point, after my years in collegiate play, I still had the hunger and drive to continue that competitiveness and working with a team. Which is where I found the love for working out and being challenged daily!
- What are some of your favorite CrossFit movements?
- Deadlifts, power cleans, and just recently, butterfly pull ups!
- What is on your CrossFit bucket list?
- To be able to do handstands and handstand walks!
- What is on your general bucket list?
- See the Northern Lights
- What is something most people do not know about you? ((Tough Question!!))

- What a CrossFit gym should be. Welcoming, Caring, attentive, a community of incredible people who have goals to living a healthy life.
- What does “living life on your own terms” mean to you, and in what ways are you living life on your terms?
- Tough question! Living life on my own terms is understanding that not everyone is perfect. You may stumble, but keep moving forward.
- What do you enjoy most about CFN?
- SEEING EVERYONE CRUSH THEIR GOALS THAT THEY HAVE SET FOR THEMSELVES AND SEEING THE SUCCESS THAT COMES FORTH!
- What motivates you and keeps you coming back week after week?
- Being challenged daily and the encouragement that surrounds me to just keep going, even when I feel like the progression is insignificant, it works out in the long run.
- #consistency
- What PRs or accomplishments are you most proud of?
- Sprinkling in a few bar muscle ups!
- Handstand push ups and the progressions I had to do to get there!
